Every operator is scored against five criteria with fixed weightings. The weightings reflect what determines whether a Canadian player keeps their winnings and receives them promptly, which is not the same as what makes a casino pleasant to look at.
| Criterion | Weight | What we actually check |
|---|---|---|
| Payout speed | 30% | Approval time and settlement time recorded separately, per payment method. No credit is given for an approval time the operator's rails cannot honour. |
| Game return | 25% | Whether return figures are published per title, whether a named testing house certified them and when, and whether high return game classes are reachable rather than excluded from bonus play. |
| Banking rails | 20% | Interac in both directions, crypto on a cheap chain, and whether pay to source is applied sensibly rather than as a pretext for delay. |
| Bonus value | 15% | Wagering multiple and what it applies to, maximum cashout caps, game weighting, maximum bet rules and expiry. |
| Verification | 10% | When documents are requested, how clearly requirements are stated, and whether a first withdrawal is treated differently. |
Payout windows are published as method level ranges rather than per operator promises, because a per operator figure implies a precision we cannot honestly claim across fifteen brands and six rails. Ranges come from operator processing terms read against the settlement behaviour of each payment rail, plus cashouts placed on verified accounts with no bonus attached.
Every range assumes two conditions: verification complete, and no live wagering requirement. Both change the outcome more than the choice of operator does, which is why they are stated rather than buried. Figures on this site were recorded on 27 July 2026.
Some links on this site are commercial and earn a commission if a reader signs up. That relationship determines nothing about the assessment: not the criteria, not the weightings, not the wording. Where an offer is poor value we write that plainly, including for operators we have a commercial relationship with. Corrections can be sent through the contact page and are acted on.
